The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 team will head for their summer break with plenty of hard work under their belts, after they recorded a second consecutive podium today at the German GP. Brad Binder was on the rostrum for the second time in two weeks, after making up 15 positions in the race.

Brad, who was 17th on the grid, had a great breathtaking, as he moved up 11 positions in the first three laps. The South African rider demonstrated great pace as he overtook his rivals and, by the halfway point of the race, he was already second. In the final part of the contest, the Red Bull KTM Ajo rider successfully managed a tyre wear situation well and won a tough battle for second place.

Following today’s results, Brad sits eighth in the championship standings with 84 points. The next date on the calendar for the Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 team is the Czech GP, which takes place over the 2nd – 4th August at the Brno circuit.

“I’m very happy. I made a great start, as I managed to move forward and hunt down the leading group. I could see that I had a competitive pace, so I tried to pass my rivals and go out on my own. But with 10 laps to go, I began to suffer and everything became much harder. Despite that, I was still able to attack in the last laps. I have to thank Red Bull KTM Ajo, Aki Ajo and everyone who is working non-stop to make this happen. I’m happy to be able to fight for the podium at two races in a row. We’ve taken a big leap forward and we can be there with a strong second half of the season.”
